Shifts Can Be Good

Dear Lake Hartwell Yoga Family,

I hope this email finds you and your family safe and well. At Lake Hartwell Yoga, we are getting back into the routine of a schedule. It has been fun seeing familiar faces. Thank you for all your well wishes and support over the past few weeks.

As a studio owner, I have had many choices to make on the structure of Lake Hartwell Yoga.  We have had subtle shifts in classes, pricing, instructors, etc. I want to thank all of you for your patience as you have witnessed me muddle through Mindbody, setting classes, and the schedule. For this, I am genuinely grateful.

So here we are again making a subtle shift in our business model at Lake Hartwell Yoga. Starting June 15th, 2020, we will be transitioning to a cooperative model. This cooperative model allows for instructors in health and wellness to develop, host, teach a variety of classes in a shared space that they rent.  Teachers are asked to build their schedule in one-month blocks, and students can choose classes they wish to take, pay the teacher directly and enjoy the variety of instruction and workshops this will bring to our space.

What does this mean to you? For those who have an unlimited pass, all passes will be terminated in June. This allows you to make direct payments to the teachers for the classes you wish to attend. For those with a class pass and class remaining, you can request a refund for Lake Hartwell Yoga to then apply towards the classes you wish to attend. Pricing will be up to the individual instructor. The best news is that no more struggling on Mindbody- booking and payment can be texted and sent via a variety of apps (if you haven’t used Vimeo you are in for a treat).

If you unlimited or 10 class pass has run out, currently only one class pass is available to purchase online at Lake Hartwell Yoga until re transition to our new cooperative model.

This cooperative model has been successful in the fitness industry in larger metropolitan cities, attracting a variety of teachers. This model offers freedom of choice to the instructor, and this freedom and variety will trickle to you as well. We will begin to see a more extensive range of workshop series that we can all benefit from.

As always, if you have any questions, you are WelcOMe to call me, and I hope to see you soon at the studio. Thank you again for your support, and most of all, your flexibility.

Namaste’

Kristin
